The reason I rejected Christians and Christianity prior to being saved wasn’t my rebellion but it was the fact that I can go to church and people being so holy and then out of no where they are back to their old way of being just as sinful, I mean in know I’m not perfect nor have a ever claimed that fact but really coming out of church I’ve experienced cussing screaming as if nothing had changed now I’m not saying I’ve never done that but, It’s kinda of a turn-off. Now I bet we all wish that we could do what Matthew 16:24-25 says “Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. “Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You’re not in the driver’s seat; I am. Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for?” Which means everyday we have give up our selfish inhibitions and do what the Bible says to do which actually makes me laugh that someone thinks that, that could happen but whatever. No one is perfect so I’m not trying to condemn anyone with this post, because trust me I’m probably one of the biggest culprits of this offense, but if your trying to show Christ’s love, this will sound really gimmicky , which annoys me a lot but whatever, think to yourself before you do it what would Jesus do? I believe that Christ didn’t want us to necessarily tell people about Christ’s love with words, but to do that with your actions. I’ll leave you with this question, when you are talking to someone, do they see Christ’s love??

So now that I got your attention with the random new word I just taught my self. I haven’t given up my relationship with Jesus, I just had a down time those happen from time to time even people in the Bible did, bet no one knows where this is going, yeah your probably right to King David and the Psalms. So tonight I tried something different, I just opened my Bible and flipped to a page it didn’t really matter what I hit at all I just read, and didn’t stop til I felt necessary. And the first page I ended up on was Pslam 35:
1 O Lord, oppose those who oppose me.
Fight those who fight against me.
Sometimes I think as believers we think that God is supposed to fight for us, which makes me chuckle, I know I’m not as well versed but does it ever say that He will fight for us, and if it does when was the last time you saw God fight for us, I kinda what see him come down and make someone tap out like Anderson Silva that would make me laugh.
2 Take up shield and buckler;
arise and come to my aid.

3 Brandish spear and javelin [a]
against those who pursue me.
Say to my soul,
“I am your salvation.”
Now that makes a little more sense, He does stand up in war against Satan for us he has tapped him out at least for the time being kinda like this
4 May those who seek my life
be disgraced and put to shame;
may those who plot my ruin
be turned back in dismay.
Wow, I wish that could happen that would be amazing having someone like putting someone to shame after they say something about me. Really the rest just hit me personally and I really enjoyed how easy salvation is.

Hypocricy in Religion

If you are religious at all I can personally guarantee that you have felt like a Hypocrite for something. Personally it’s the fact that I haven’t been able to switch from my old way, and I haven’t got passed that, but I really want to know what struggles other people have had with this and what you did about it.

and I have a job interview in the afternoon, but something compelled me to get on my knees and talk to God I really don’t know what it was but, I really did and I have to say it was pretty amazing. But that’s no what this specific post is about while I was praying I was talking about this girl in one of my classes and how I was envious of how good or holy she seems and how I wanted to be more like her a couple of weeks ago and I realized how that’s not what my walk is about it’s not about being what someone else is or what someone else wants me to be,it’s about what He wants for me and that got me thinking of a Bible study group I had with Jason Ruggles

it was called Chasing Daylight based off of Erwin Raphael McManus’s book oddly enough named “Chasing Daylight:Seize the Power of Every Moment”. And I read the first maybe 3 pages and the idea hit me of what this specific blog would be about, decisions, ugh….sometime I really dislike that word because I tend to make poor ones, but that also is for an entirely different blog, and before I get off onto a tangent I’ll get back to where I was, decisions, we all make them needless to say since we are all humans we can not always make the right ones even thought most of us would like to think otherwise, and as I was reading I came across something that he wrote, “You were born to live a great adventure; You were created with a divine destiny; You are called to fulfill a great mission. You were designed for a unique purpose. Now you are called to live it out.”
Now if you have been to a church for longer than let’s say 3 months you have probably heard a sermon something like this,”Now God has a plan for you and a way for your life”, or something along those lines, while this is true, I’m not normal so I’m going to try to stay far away from what you would usually hear. Mr.McManus said you were made for a great adventure, that doesn’t mean sitting on your couch watching football, that means getting off your tail end and living, you have to make mistakes to have an adventure, you are human you will NOTget everything right but that’s ok God knew that would happen and he still has the same “divine destiny” just because you screw up or think you failed because you were living life doesn’t mean your “divine destiny” has changed. That is one that struggle with a little bit.
Now for the bigger one for me to “cope” with, McManus says that you are created with a unique purpose. That means just because someone else got the job or title that you wanted and maybe even deserved more, that God has a plan for you and yet again you might have to make a mistake or two but the thing is you are not perfect you will mess up, in my personal walk I’ve wanted to be multiple things for the progress of His Kingdom, a youth pastor, a pastor, a missionary and to tell you the truth I don’t know what He wants for me I know that I will make more mistakes before I know, but I know that when I find out what it is I’m going to do everything in my power to do my best for Him.
Now for the most simple concept Walking the walk, do what He’s telling you if He’s not telling you loud enough listen harder, and please don’t sit back and do nothing even if it isn’t your calling or even completely the wrong thing sitting idle and watching this generation almost literally fall completely to what the Devil wants, do something anything.

This week has been by far the fastest that I can remember I remember just a couple of days ago waking up at noon or something like that and being able to just look at the clock and fall back asleep, now I have to go back into the regular swing of things, mostly school. That means I get to wake up at 6:30 again and try to make it through the day without smacking some immature little underclassman that feels the need to walk backwards through the hallway. And it really reminds me of how fast life goes I mean really I’m a senior in high school I’m not even gonna have to worry about them anymore soon I’ll have to worry about Drill Instructors morning breath and getting up at 3 a.m. or earlier. And since it’s playoffs time in the NFL I must make a football reference this, this right here where all the high school seniors is the playoffs but instead of 2 decision you have 3, you can either 1.Go to college, 2.Go to the military 3.Go to work or 3b. Stay at home with your parent and become a deadbeat. Well again just like the playoffs no matter what you start off with a clean slate you are 0-0 no one is the champion any more, but you go right back out there and play.
